Who is this class for?
Great fit if you...
- Have completed the 6 Week Transformation Challenge and are settling into your Prime Membership
- Have some mat time behind you and are ready to train alongside practitioners at different experience levels
- Want a class that combines technical instruction with live sparring in a single session
- Train in both Gi and No-Gi and want a class that covers both formats
- Are looking for your primary weekly training class as an active member of the SJJC Jiu Jitsu community
Consider a different class if...
- You're brand new to BJJ with no prior mat experience (start with BJJ Fundamentals or the 6 Week Transformation Challenge)
- You want a women-only training environment ( Women's Jiu Jitsu is the right fit)
- You're focused exclusively on competition prep and want a higher-intensity, more advanced curriculum ( Advanced BJJ is built for that)
- You only want open sparring with no instruction ( Randori covers that)
What you can expect
Instruction That Works Across Experience Levels
All Levels BJJ is a mixed room, and the coaching reflects that. Techniques are taught in a way that gives newer students something actionable and gives experienced practitioners something to refine. Both walk away with something gained.
Drilling, Positional Training, and Live Sparring
Each session moves through technical instruction, partner drilling, and positional or live sparring. It's a complete training session in one class, not just one piece of it.
Gi and No-Gi Across the Schedule
All Levels runs in both formats throughout the week. If you're building a well-rounded game, training in both Gi and No-Gi develops different attributes and keeps your overall BJJ sharper.
The Core of Your Weekly Training
For many Prime Members, All Levels BJJ is the class they build their schedule around. It's frequent enough in the weekly rotation and broad enough in content to be the anchor of consistent, long-term development.

Frequently Asked questions
How much experience do I need to join All Levels BJJ?
Some prior mat experience is required. Most students come in through BJJ Fundamentals following the 6 Week Transformation Challenge, which gives them the positional knowledge to keep up in a mixed-level class. If you're unsure whether you're ready, communicate with the SJJC coaches and you'll be guided and supported every step of the way.
What does a typical All Levels class look like?
Classes typically include technical instruction, partner drilling, and positional or live sparring. The specific technique focus changes week to week, so the curriculum stays fresh across the full training cycle.
Is All Levels BJJ Gi or No-Gi?
Both, depending on the session. Check the schedule on the site to see which format is running on a given day. Having a gi and comfortable no-gi athletic wear gives you flexibility across the full weekly schedule. We also have loaner Gis for those that don't have one of their own yet.
Can I drop in for All Levels BJJ if I'm visiting from another gym?
Yes. Drop-in access is available for non-members. Given the mixed-level format, some prior grappling experience is expected.
Will All Levels BJJ challenge me enough?
The mixed-level format means instruction is layered, and the live sparring portion of class gives experienced practitioners plenty to work with regardless of where they're coming from. And when you're ready, you'll be able to mix in Randori open mat sessions and more advanced BJJ classes.
